Cultivating Community- Free Support Group for Black Women 35+

You’re invited to join our free in-person support group designed for Black women ages 35+.

This gathering will be held on Saturday, January 17th, 2026 at 1681 Riedel Rd, Crofton MD 21114 at from 12-2pm

Facilitated by April Latson, LCSW-C, CCTP, founder of Healing Every Root Wellness Center, this 2 hour meet offers a safe, nurturing, and non-therapeutic space for reflection, connection, and restoration.

Together, we’ll explore:

• How to prioritize self-care and wellness, even in challenging times
• Ways to build and maintain community that feels authentic and safe
• Tools for communicating needs and boundaries in relationships
• And more conversations that honor the whole of who we are

Lunch will be provided, and space is limited to 25 participants to encourage genuine connection and conversation.

Come as you are. Leave with a fuller heart, deeper connection, and renewed clarity about what community means for you.

Additional Info: This meeting will include a plant exchange where you can bring real (or faux) plants or plant clippings to share with other members. Please be prepared to share how to care for the plants you are exchanging and any benefits they may provide.
