An Introduction to Tantra!About this Event
An intro to tantra class sets the foundation for understanding tantra as a practice of awareness, connection, and presence. It usually begins with a simple explanation of what tantra is and what it is not. The focus stays on mindfulness, the breath, and learning to tune in to your own body.
Participants are guided through gentle exercises that build trust and comfort. This can include breathwork, grounding meditations, easy movement, and partner practices that center on eye contact, consent, and clear communication. Nothing is rushed. The goal is to slow down enough to notice what you feel and how you relate to yourself and others.
The class also touches on core principles like intention, energy awareness, and boundaries. Facilitators emphasize safety and choice so everyone can engage at the level that feels right. By the end, participants usually leave with a sense of calm, more awareness of their inner space, and a basic understanding of how tantra can support connection, intimacy, and personal growth.
