About this Event
Research has shown that gardening and connecting to nature reduces stress, anxiety, and symptoms of depression. Gardening and nature have also been proven to promote an increase in feelings of hope, happiness, self-esteem, and a sense of community.
Volunteers play a critical part in keeping our herb farm and orchard beautiful and productive. Over the course of six weeks, the volunteer cohort will engage in essential seasonal tasks such as planting, weeding, harvesting, and processing herbs.
Through hands-on work on the farm and in the apothecary, participants will: ✔️ Learn herbal cultivation techniques from seed to storage ✔️ Develop hands-on skills in organic gardening and wildcrafting ✔️ Experience guided tea tastings and herbal product-making ✔️ Connect with like-minded individuals passionate about herbalism
