This training will give you the tools to start a community garden project in your neighborhood, organization, church, or institution.
About this Event
Participants will learn through this two-day training how to plan a community garden, gain essential basic gardening skills based on sustainable dryland growing practices, and learn valuable gardening and cooking education facilitation skills while visiting different Community Gardens across the Paso del Norte region.
During this training, you will learn:

Training Description:
This training engages participants through mixed media resources that include videos, readings, and group discussions.
Through the course, participants will learn how to plan a community garden, gain essential basic gardening skills based on the sustainable dryland growing practices, and learn valuable gardening and cooking education facilitation skills.
La Semilla Food Center would like everyone interested to access this valuable training; therefore, we are implementing a fee structure based on a sliding scale. We encourage all those who can afford to pay the full amount to do so or pay what you can so that La Semilla can continue to provide this training and create healthy, resilient communities.
Who is eligible to register?
All individuals, neighborhood groups, organizations, education, and government entities, are welcome to register.
