Get first hand information from people who travelled with the 40th Southern Cross solidarity Brigade to Cuba. 13 members from Australia and NZ brought back memories from their time in Havana, Pinar del Rio and Playa Giron. They witnessed the effects of the US economic blockade and sanctions on the Cuban people for more than 60 years. As we prepare for the next trip at in December we would like to share our experiences. Join us, learn and discuss.
We will also present a report back from a union delegate who travelled to Venezuela during the festival of the festivals. He witnessed the inauguration of president Nicolas Maduro on 10th January 2025.
