Second Wave
[Alternative Rock][Post-Rock]
Second Wave is an alternative rock duo from Bucharest, blending post-rock, ambient, and shoegaze influences. Formed in late 2016, the band consists of Daniel Antohi on vocals and guitar, and Radu Dorobanțu on drums.
Their releases include several singles that received airplay on local alternative radio stations, as well as their debut EP Every Quiet Ocean,a four-track journey through introspection, frustration, and grief.
Cinematic and immersive, the record moves between fragile calm and raw intensity, reflecting its core idea: that every quiet ocean carries its own chaos.
Through atmospheric layers, driving drum patterns, and an extensive use of sound-altering effects, Second Wave deliver a powerful and immersive live sound, proving that a two-piece band can still feel vast.
