ABOUT COLIN
Colin McGovern is a Boston area musician whose performances bring unpretentious, acoustic guitar-based singer songwriting to the forefront with influences ranging from 60’s folk to 90’s alternative. His unexpectedly powerful tenor vocals and thoughtful narrative have distinguished him within the Club Passim community(Cambridge, MA), where he has been featured in multiple “CampfireFestival”and Oktoberfest performances, as a special guest for Zachariah Hickman’s“Power Outage Party” and as an opening act for artists like Mark Erelli.
His debutEP, “The Salton Sea,” produced by Zachariah Hickman of Greedy Beast Studios in Watertown, MA, includes performances from many local and national folk music luminaries such as Alisa Amador, Mark Erelli, Joe K Walsh, Elizabeth Ziman and more. The release show for the EP, performed in front of a sell-out crowd at Club Passim (Cambridge, MA), featured a support band of local talents David Brophy (drums), Rich Hinman (lap/pedal steel), Mark Lipman (vocals) and Zachariah Hickman (Bass, vocals).
