On Thursday, June 25, host John Dankosky will sit down with Richard Tofel, founding general manager and first employee of ProPublica — CT Mirror's partner on the Pulitzer Prize winning investigation — and Marie Shanahan, head of UConn’s journalism department and a leading researcher on digital journalism, news literacy and public discourse.
The discussion will explore how journalists and educators are preparing the next generation of reporters to navigate the future of journalism and how organizations like ProPublica have transformed the media landscape and pioneered new models for investigative and nonprofit reporting.
