CT DOT is working on a statewide Active Transportation Plan.Why is this important? - The majority of fatal vulnerable user crashes occur on CT state routes. This is where New Haven and the metro region can make progress with traffic calming, connected safe bike routes, and pedestrian safety improvements.
The planning process will evaluate existing conditions, identify needs, and propose recommendations for a functional, equitable, and safety-focused active transportation network on state-owned roadways, as well as supportive programs and policies.
Please attend one of the CT DOT Active Transportation Plan open houses! You may drop in anytime during the open house. There will be a quick presentation and a series of boards for you to review and provide feedback. Representatives from CTDOT and the project team will be available to answer your questions.
