Jim Scully and the CSUB Jazz Ensembles present a night of music focusing on prominent voices making creating music right now.
The CSUB Jazz Collective will play music by Brian Blade, Snarky Puppy, Carl Allen, and others. Featured soloists include Apollo Alva on tenor, Darrick Lucas and Liam Walsh on piano and keys, Jacob Rosales on guitar and many others.
The CSUB Jazz Combo will play music by Mike Lee, Chief Adjuah (formerly Christian Scott), Carl Allen and others.
The evening will celebrate the rich vibrancy of jazz and the cultural significance of this American art form.
