cSPACE: Photography as Record and Recollection
About this Event
Join fine art photographer, Steve Speer for an evening exploring the power of photography as a recollective device. With a key focus on his historic Building on the Bow book project and a secondary focus on Front Street in Lahaina this presentation considers photography as both a record and a participant in history—capturing fleeting moments while becoming part of an ongoing continuum. The accompanying exhibition, printed on handmade Japanese washi paper, invites close, tactile engagement. Through image and conversation, discover how each photograph acts as a recollective trigger—connecting past, present, and future.
Exhibition of Steve’s photographs at cSPACE MARDA LOOP from July 2 – August 1.
Reception at 6:00 pm.
Event hosted by cSPACE & Calgary Association of Lifelong Learners (CALL).
