There is a rare kind of magic that only appears when voices meet in the open air of an acoustic space. It is the sound that once floated out of Laurel Canyon, where harmony carried meaning and songs were built to last. In this Unplugged performance, the CSNY Experience returns to that essence, three voices, wood and wire, and songs that speak plainly and truthfully.
Performed by Matt Catto, Nick Catto and Jono Tait, this is not imitation but devotion. With no spectacle to distract, the music rests on the architecture of three part harmony and the emotional weight of the writing itself. Songs like Helplessly Hoping, Guinnevere and Suite Judy Blue Eyes unfold with intimacy and care, allowing every lyric and harmonic turn to land where it should.
The connection between these musicians runs deep. Long before this project had a name, they were shaping their blend as the founding members of Hatchetman, rehearsing relentlessly, learning how three voices breathe and move together. The Catto brothers bring a lifelong inheritance of folk music and shared harmony, while Jono Tait adds a voice formed by lived experience and a deep relationship with the acoustic song tradition of Cape Town.
