Course description:
This course is designed as a comprehensive overview of the construction specification profession in Canada, the Specifier course delves deep into the intricacies of the specifier's role, legal considerations, and writing techniques essential for success in the field.
Building upon the foundation laid by the Principles of Construction Documentation (PCD) course, this course offers a more in-depth exploration of specialized techniques and skills required for crafting procurement and contractual requirements across various divisions. From Division 00 to Divisions 02 – 49, participants gain valuable insights into administrative, procedural, and technical specifications crucial for project success.
With a focus on real-life examples and professional scenarios, this course provides practical learning experiences that empower students to navigate complex challenges with confidence.
This course is a prerequisite to obtaining the Certified Specification Practitioner (CSP) and Registered Specification Writer (RSW) designations.
