About this Event
Join us for a powerful afternoon and evening of film, conversation, and community in partnership with the Atlanta Film Festival, Center for Studies on Africa and Its Diaspora at Georgia State University, and the Consulate General of Canada in Atlanta.
In a time marked by challenging and often demoralizing global events, Africa & Diaspora Film Day creates space for reflection, connection, and renewal. Through storytelling, we honor the enduring strength, creativity, and perseverance of Black communities worldwide — recognizing that these stories have not only shaped history, but continue to uplift and guide us forward.
This event brings together bold films and filmmakers from across the global African diaspora, highlighting the voices, histories, and cultural contributions that remain vital to our collective future.
