Calling all aspiring cryptozoologists! The Florence County Library is thrilled to announce the launch of a new club for curious minds in 3rd through 5th grade. This exciting program invites young adventurers to explore the mysterious world of cryptozoology—the study of hidden or unknown creatures.Club members will dive into fascinating tales of legendary creatures like Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, and Chupacabra while learning how to separate myth from fact. Through hands-on activities, critical thinking, and scientific exploration, participants will develop real-world skills and spark their imaginations.
The Cryptid Club will meet on the following dates and times:
Wednesday, January 29th at 3:30 p.m.
Wednesday, February 26th at 3:30 p.m.
Wednesday, March 26th at 3:30 p.m.
Wednesday, April 23rd at 3:30 p.m.
Each session will feature a new topic, ranging from famous cryptids to the role of folklore and science in understanding these mysteries. This unique program encourages a love of reading, science, and creativity while providing a fun and engaging environment for students to connect with peers who share their curiosity.
