Choreographer Nicole von Arx and her collective bring their latest work, "Cry Wolf", to The Adams Theater for a weeklong residency before its premiere at Tribeca Performing Arts Center in New York.Blending dynamic movement, humor, and theatricality, Cry Wolf transforms the stage into an emotional landscape exploring our changing environment — and the truths we may or may not be ready to face. Inspired by Aesop’s "The Boy Who Cried Wolf", the piece asks: When we finally hear Earth’s warnings, what will we do?
Von Arx, founder of NVA & Guests, is a 2020 Ann & Weston Hicks Choreography Fellow at Jacob’s Pillow. She has performed with The Norwegian National Company for Contemporary Dance, the Metropolitan Opera, and the Royal Opera House, and has collaborated with Stanford Live, Wolf Trap Opera, NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and Boston Conservatory.
