March 1st will mark our fifth year as the owners of Mamma Mia and we would like to thank everyone for the support over the years. We would like to take this year to try and help raise money for not only a great customer but also a close family friend. Cameron Knapp was recently diagnosed with Juvenile Huntingtons Disease. Huntington’s Disease is a degenerative brain disease that causes a progressive loss of movement, muscle control, thinking abilities, and emotion. There is currently no cure. Cameron who is a graduate of Queens Annes County High School was an active lacrosse player, and served in the US Coast Guard. He is in need of our communities support and we couldn’t think of a better more deserving family to help this year. We will be hosting a fundraiser for Cameron and his family to help with the growing costs of adjusting, not only to his immediate needs but also the challenges he will face as the disease progresses. We will have live music, silent auction items, 50/50 raffles and more. All of the proceeds from the auction and the raffles will go directly to Cameron and his family in addition to a percentage of sales for the day! We do this in hopes that as a community we can all do a small part to make a big difference! Please mark you calendars now and let’s make this a great event for a great young man!
