Mike Zito is one of the most soulful and acclaimed blues-rock artists of his generation — a guitarist, songwriter, and producer with a career defined by grit, honesty, and heart. Zito won the 2026 Blues Rock Album of the Year in collaboration with his “Blood Brother” Albert Castiglia. In 2025, Zito claimed the Blues Music Award for Blues Rock Album of the year following his 2024 sweep with Blues Rock Album of the Year and Blues Rock Artist of the Year. Zito’s latest album, "Outside Or The Eastside", echo’s themes of reflection, resilience, redemption, and second chances, blending blues rock, soul, and storytelling. Mike Zito’s music is rooted in personal and city life experiences hailed from his childhood in St. Louis to the global blues-rock circuit. He began playing guitar at age five and by his late teens was a fixture on the St. Louis music scene. For Zito, honesty, authenticity, and integrity are not just part of the brand, they are the foundation. “I have nothing to hide; it seems my honesty is what people relate to most,” he once told Vintage Guitar. Offstage, Zito is a respected producer and co-founder of Gulf Coast Records. His studio is championing fellow artists and helping shape some of the most exciting new music in today’s blues landscape.
