Rebecca Maxine Jones (Becci)
January 11, 1961– July 19, 2025
Rebecca Maxine Jones, lovingly known as Becci, passed away peacefully on July 19 2025, at Advent Health South in Overland Park, Kansas, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Though her wish was to spend her final moments in her home, the rapid progression of her illness brought her to the hospital, where she passed comfortably, surrounded by her loving husband, of which she would be celebrating 39 years together next month, and all five of her children.
Born in Olathe, Kansas, Becci grew up primarily in her hometown, where her free-spirited nature and creative soul took root. For the last 16 years, she called Pleasanton, Kansas home—a place where her gardens grew wild with color and her love for nature thrived.
Becci had a deep love for the simple, magical things in life: tending to her garden, sewing with care, and collecting all things Batman, Godzilla, and dragons. A proud hippie at heart, she had a deep connection to music and a vibrant personality that matched her love for tie-dye and all things purple—her favorite color. Her home was always filled with butterflies, hummingbirds, and all sorts of critters, just the way she liked it. She was the proud owner of a Big Dog Coyote until she wrecked during a Biker For Babies event, however her love for motorcycles never ended as she continued to support when she could and grow her collection during her life.
She leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family who adored her endlessly. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered—in every fluttering butterfly, every hummingbird visit, and every dragon statue watching over her garden.
