Crowned in Confidence: A Healthy Hair & Beauty Experience for Teens is an interactive event designed to help middle and high school students better understand, care for, and feel confident in their hair.

Through conversations with hair and beauty professionals, hands-on demonstrations, and interactive stations, teens will learn about the science of healthy hair and scalp care while exploring different hair types, textures, styling techniques, protective styles, locs, braiding, natural and curly hair, silk presses, and more.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, practice techniques, connect with local professionals, and discover products and resources to support their individual hair journey. Parents are invited too, with a separate breakout session offering practical education and guidance for supporting healthy hair care at home.

Please note that this is a learning experience. Our specialists will demonstrate techniques and share tips, but hair will not be styled or serviced on site.

What to expect

Real conversations, live demonstrations, activity stations, giveaways, and a room full of community and support. Light refreshments will be available.

Agenda

1:30 PM to 2:00 PM. Doors open. Music, light refreshments, and time to settle in before we get started.

2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Welcome and panel discussion. Meet the stylists and hear honest talk about healthy hair, scalp care, and the questions teens actually want answered.

3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Expo walkthrough, activity stations, and parent session. Move at your own pace, watch live demonstrations, try things hands on, and ask the pros anything. Parents, your breakout session runs during this block.

4:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Closing, giveaways, and send off.

***IMPORTANT: All youth attendees must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the event. Drop-offs are not permitted.
