Crouch Valley Vineyard Tour: Discover the Wines of Essex

Join The English Wine Tasting Company for a relaxed and immersive day exploring the vineyards of the beautiful Crouch Valley, one of England’s most exciting and highly regarded wine regions.

Your day begins at Chelmsford station, where we’ll travel together into the heart of the Essex countryside. At our first stop, you’ll stroll through the vines with the vineyard manager and learn about the unique conditions that make the Crouch Valley such an exceptional place to grow grapes. You’ll then have the opportunity to enjoy a selection of the estate’s wines, including a special tasting directly from the barrel!

A cheese and charcuterie spread will be served for lunch before we continue on to our second stop of the day. At the next vineyard you’ll hear directly from the winemaker about how English wines are crafted, followed by a tasting of their wines.

To round off the day, The English Wine Tasting Company will host a guided tasting exploring a further selection of wines from across the Crouch Valley. This final tasting brings together different producers and styles, giving you a deeper understanding of what makes this region so special.

Throughout the day you’ll have plenty of opportunity to ask questions, meet the people behind the wines, and enjoy the scenery of the Essex countryside. You will also have the opportunity to purchase bottles of wine to take home with you.

We return to Chelmsford station in the late afternoon, leaving you with a new appreciation for the wines being produced right here in Essex.

The experience includes:

• Return transport from Chelmsford train station.
• Vineyard tour and wine tasting at the first vineyard stop.
• Cheese and charcuterie lunch.
• Winemaking talk and tasting at the second vineyard stop.
• Guided tasting hosted by The English Wine Tasting Company.
• Plus some little extras to make the day even more special!

Collection from Chelmsford station will be at 10am. We will arrive back at the station to end the day at 4.30pm.

Booking and Payment:

• Your booking is not secured until payment is fully received – all events must be paid for in advance.
• E-tickets will be sent to your email account once you have paid for your event booking. Remember to check your spam or junk folder if they do not land in your main inbox!
• If you can no longer attend the event, you can cancel your booking by contacting us at [email protected]

Cancellation Policy:

1. If you cancel more than 4 weeks before the event, you will be entitled to a refund, or you may transfer your booking to another event, or you may request a 1-year credit which is redeemable against any future event.
2. If you cancel less than 4 weeks but more than 2 weeks before an event, a refund will not be given but you may transfer your booking to another event, or you may request a 1-year credit which is redeemable against any future event.
3. If you cancel less than 2 weeks before an event, no refunds, transfers, or credits will be issued.

When issuing refunds, we reserve the right to deduct unrecoverable payment processing fees incurred with the booking.

In the event of 'no-shows' - no refunds, credits, or transfers will be provided.

Event Changes & Cancellations:

Occasionally circumstances outside of our control may require us to postpone or reschedule an event. If a new date or credit is not suitable, we will provide a full refund of the ticket price paid. Refunds will be limited to the value of the event ticket.

We reserve the right to:

• Change the venue to one of equal or higher standard within the same general area.
• Make minor changes to the event format, itinerary, or wines tasted.

If minimum ticket numbers are not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the event. In this case, guests will be offered a full refund, or the option to transfer to another event.

Vineyard Tours & Outdoor Activities:

Some of our events include outdoor vineyard tours which may involve walking on uneven ground.

Guests should wear suitable footwear and clothing appropriate for the weather conditions. Tours will normally proceed in most weather conditions.

Transport & Timings:

For events that include transport, guests must arrive at the designated meeting point on time.

The tour will depart promptly and cannot be delayed for late arrivals. If you miss the departure, unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds or transfers.

Travel times and itineraries are approximate and may vary slightly depending on traffic or operational circumstances.

Dietary Requirements:

Please notify us of any dietary requirements at least 7 days prior to the event.

While we will do our best to accommodate requests, this cannot always be guaranteed.

Alcohol & Responsible Drinking:

All guests must be 18 years or over to attend our events.

We will not serve alcohol to anyone under the age of 18 and may request proof of age where appropriate.

We reserve the right to refuse service of alcohol to any guest who appears intoxicated.

Behaviour:

We aim to provide an enjoyable experience for all guests. We reserve the right to ask any guest to leave the event if their behaviour is considered disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate. No refunds will be issued in these circumstances.

Personal Belongings:

Guests are responsible for their own personal belongings. The English Wine Tasting Company cannot accept responsibility for any lost or damaged items during the event.

Photography:

Photographs may occasionally be taken during events for marketing purposes. If you would prefer not to appear in photographs, please inform the host at the start of the event.
