Crossroads joins the elegance of the classical guitar with the beauty of the Middle Eastern oud for an exceptional evening in concert with the "Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra" and "The Canadian Arabic Orchestra". An unmissable event, the concert stands out by placing time-honoured themes, melodies, and instruments into a modern musical landscape, creating a blend of excitement and elegance that will leave audiences in awe.This unique event marks the first-ever collaboration between The Canadian Arabic Orchestra and the Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra, offering a musical experience rich in depth and energy. Featuring works from the guitar’s classical repertoire alongside works by Canadian composers including the world premiere of Wanes Moubayed’s Oud Concerto, and new pieces for oud, guitar, and orchestra by Daniel Mehdizadeh and Ronald Royer.
