The Crossroads Artboards are an ongoing public art initiative that showcases local contemporary art on exterior, double-sided billboards at 125 Southwest Boulevard. Serving as a creative platform for artists and designers alike, the Artboards have been a site of intrigue and public dialogue over its 18-year history. The Artboards display a new set of artworks by Kansas City-area artists approximately every three months.
For the 2027-28 cycle, 8 artists will be chosen through a competitive process, and receive artist stipends of $1,000 each for completing and delivering print-ready images for one set of side-by-side billboards.
Applications will close on Friday, December 4, 2026 at 11:59 PM (Central Time Zone) through Charlotte Street's Submittable.
