About this Event
Ever wanted to learn Dungeons & Dragons but never knew where to start? Now’s your chance to take your very first step into adventure at Pawn and Pint.
Join Crit and Ale for a beginner-friendly Dungeons & Dragons workshop designed to teach new players the fundamentals of the game using the newest version of Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition (2024 rules update). Whether you’ve watched actual play shows, heard friends talk about their campaigns, or have always been curious about tabletop roleplaying games, this class is built to help you learn in a welcoming and approachable environment.
During this one-session class, players will learn:
• How to create and customize a D&D character
• The purpose of races, classes, backgrounds, and abilities
• The basics of roleplaying and interacting with the world
• How combat works, including turns, attacks, spells, and dice rolls
• How skill checks and saving throws function
• The role of the Dungeon Master and how adventures are structured
• Tips for joining future campaigns with confidence
No experience is required, and questions are encouraged. By the end of the session, players will have a solid grasp of the core mechanics of Dungeons & Dragons and the confidence to jump into future adventures, campaigns, and one-shots of their own.
So gather your dice, your imagination, and your sense of adventure. Your first quest begins here.
