Join us for Freedom From and Freedom To, a captivating dance performance as part of . Award-winning artist and Austinite, Marvin Tate, collaborates with artist-organizer Laura Shaeffer to unite the communities of Chicago’s Austin neighborhood and Oak Park through art, music, and nature.
This performance, led by Cristal Sabbagh, brings together dancers and musicians from across Chicago to create unique, improvised sets. Artists are grouped by chance, allowing for spontaneous and powerful performances.
Dancers: Irene Hsiao, Amanda Maraist, Chrissy Martin, Gaby Martinez, and Cristal Sabbagh
Musicians: Sarai Bernice, Paige Brown, JayVe Montgomery, olula negre, Ariel Foster, and Nick Turner
Please bring a chair or blanket as seating can become limited.
Suggested donation: $15 - Your contribution helps sustain our programming.
Light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
