Join the Crosscurrents family for a live joyful evening featuring Bay Area voices. Hana Baba hosts a night of storytelling, poetry, dance and music to uplift and inspire.
Experience your favorite Crosscurrents features, live and in person, including Sights & Sounds with Jenee Darden and New Arrivals with Lisa Moorhouse, alongside performances by Uncuffed’s Greg Eskridge and How Wild’s Marissa Ortega-Welch. The Shabbal Dance Company weaves the night together with their art of Sudanese dance, music, and culture.

Hana Baba is an award-winning radio journalist and host of "Crosscurrents," the daily newsmagazine on NPR member station KALW Public Radio in San Francisco. She is also co-host/co-producer of The Stoop podcast, telling stories from across the Black Diaspora.
Jeneé Darden is an award-winning journalist, author, public speaker and proud Oakland native. She is the executive producer and host of the weekly arts segment as well as the series .
Greg Eskridge is an award-winning journalist and a founding member of San Quentin Radio, where he currently serves as a facilitator and mentor. His stories have aired on KALW's Crosscurrents, on Life of the Law, and on Crooked Media. When he is not producing, Greg is living out his basketball dreams. Despite 26 years of incarceration and being 47 years old, Greg still has a little game left.
is an award-winning radio and print journalist, whose stories have been featured by NPR, Reveal, Latino USA, The California Report Magazine, and magazine, among others. She came to radio with a decade of work experience in science and environmental education. Marissa has been traveling in wilderness for over 20 years, guiding trips, conducting scientific field work, and backpacking for fun.
Lisa Morehouse is an award-winning public radio reporter and editor. She produces California Foodways, a county-by-county exploration of stories at the intersection of food, culture, history, labor and the environment, which airs on KQED’s The California Report Magazine, and national shows like All Things Considered. The series received a national Edward R. Murrow Award and four James Beard nominations. Morehouse is also the Senior Editor for KALW Public Radio’s news magazine, Crosscurrents.
Shabbal Dance Company is a non profit group dedicated to the appreciation of Sudanese dance, music and culture.
