Join us for the very first intercultural fermentation event by Just Ferment!
This special one-day gathering celebrates the quiet power of fermentation to bridge cultures and connect lives.
From Kyoto’s Kamoshika 発酵食堂カモシカ, Megumi Seki will present a Japanese-style “One Soup, One Dish” demonstration, including live preparation of fermented delicacies such as nukazuke (rice bran pickles) and traditional dashi broth.
From Malaysia, Vien Chew, founder of Just Ferment, will offer tasting dishes inspired by tropical rhythms and the spirit of fermentation — a multisensory experience of living with microbes.
We are also honored to welcome Evan Lee from Borneo, who will share stories of Tuak (indigenous rice wine) and Ragi, the wild yeast passed down through generations in his family.
