On Friday 12 & Saturday 13 September, Cross Comix takes over De Doelen in Rotterdam with two days of art, comics, zines, animation, and graphic novels. Soak up that vibrant festival atmosphere!��This year we spotlight female creators who have reshaped visual storytelling in Europe over the past 50 years. On Friday, the program features acclaimed author María Medem, Aimee de Jong (Lord of the Flies), Merel Barends (VR!), animator Vera van Wolferen, and Belgian author Judith Vanistendael.
Don’t forget to bring your own prints and art so you can trade at the laid-back Friday night Swap party! Get professional advice at Meet the Editor. Meet fellow artists at the Makers Market and browse top international zines at the Zine Kiosk.
