To continue with our relationship with the Redemption Church, ETGC member can crochet granny squares to donate to the church. They combine the squares into blankets for people in need. As a member you get 1 volunteer hour per every 2 granny squares (8x8 inches).
New this year, we are partnering with the Dorcas Society Crafters to help fulfill needs in our community. One of the needs is for crotched baby blankets (40x40 inches). For each blanket members receive 15 volunteer hours.
You must turn the blankets and squares into one of the ETGC board members to get credit for your time. If you don't know how to crotchet granny squares or blankets, you are still welcome to attend, we will help you. If you already know how to crochet them, please come for the morning. You can either help someone learn or spend time getting to know other members. These are both great causes and ETGC is proud to partner with them.
Bring a G hook and yarn. This is your chance to get creative so bring your choice of color but please avoid white as it is hard to keep clean.
Class will be held in the Annex building behind the church with entrance off of Neecham Street.
Class is free to ETGC members and $5 for non-members.
