About this Event

Crochet to Unwind: A Beginner's Guide to Stress Relief

Date & Time: August 14, 2026 at 1:00 PM (Eastern Time)

Location: Hamlet Senior Center

Join us for a series of relaxing crochet sessions where rhythmic stitching helps calm your nervous system, slows your heart rate, and lowers stress hormones. Take a mental break by focusing on creative patterns that distract from daily pressures and anxious thoughts. Plus, enjoy a dopamine boost from fine motor coordination that lifts your mood and leaves you feeling great.

Best of all, you’ll get to finish a tangible project that builds confidence and gives you a real sense of achievement. No experience needed—come unwind and create! All ages are welcome!

Bring your supplies. Size 8-H (5.0 mm) hook and size 4 weight yarn is recommended for beginners.
