Join guest artist Stina Simmarano for a playful and skill-building fiber experience centered around crocheting whimsical eyeball creations inspired by The Shiny Shop’s unofficial motto: be safe, be seen, be shiny.

Part sculpture, part beginner-friendly fiber exploration, this activation invites participants to learn the foundations of crochet while creating expressive eyeball forms full of personality and charm. Whether your creation becomes a tiny plush companion, wearable adornment, dashboard buddy, or playful handmade keepsake, this workshop celebrates visibility, individuality, and the joy of making by hand.

Throughout the featured demo, Stina will introduce crochet basics, discuss yarn gauge and hook sizing, and share approachable techniques for building dimensional forms through stitching and repetition.

• Assorted cotton yarns

• Crochet hooks (3.5mm–5mm options)

• Scissors & fiber tools

• Pattern examples & playful inspiration

📍 Arrival Notes: Guests may enter through the front lobby doors and will find The Shiny Shop just inside the first door past the lobby. You’re also welcome to knock on our windows from the outside of the shop if you need help finding us — we’re happy to wave you in.
