The Granny Square Chicken is a colorful hen crocheted using two floral granny squares. If you've never made a granny square, this is a fun way to learn! In this two part class you will learn how to make a floral granny square, how to seam your squares together, and how to crochet the additional pieces to make your chicken.
Basic crochet skills (chain and single crochet) are required to attend this class. If you have never crocheted before or might need a refresher, join us for our next Crochet 101 class!
You Will Learn:
Crochet in the round
Half double, double and triple crochet stitches
Seaming crochet squares
Materials to Purchase:
Medium weight 4 yarn in desired colors (or use Happy Cotton for a slightly smaller chicken)
2.75mm crochet hook
12mm plastic safety eyes
Scissors
