On Wednesday afternoon, 8/12, Shalersville Trustees will be presenting zoning restrictions and definitions to the Portage County Regional Planning Commission (RPC) for their approval. These new zoning restrictions will disrupt the development of the proposed Bitdeer/Geis data Center on Beck Rd. As such, you bet your boots that the Geis and Bitdeer legal teams will be there to push back against the Shalersville Trustees' recommendations.
Portage County, we are counting on you to show up and tell the RPC: NO BITDEER TICS ARE WELCOME HERE.
The mission of the Portage County Regional Planning Commission is: "To improve the quality of life in Portage County by helping communities turn vision into action in order to equitably achieve sustainable communities, in harmony with the natural environment." One of the largest data centers in the world is NOT consistent with this mission, no matter how these hotshot out-of-town lawyers try to spin it.
