We live in an era of acute and immediate issues, ranging from the environmental, to the social and political. Art gives us a framework in which to process these complex problems. Join John Dalton’s Spheres of Influence as they present a set of original compositions reflecting on the various crises of our era, in partnership with Medford Jazz, the Medford Arts Council, and Arts Collaborative Medford. Come before the performance for a pre concert discussion on various methodologies of composition, improvisation, performance and how they can be used to express social and political themes. Music allows us to conceive of better ways of collaborating, communicating, and organizing ourselves. Come participate in this free community event with a suggested donation of $15Band:
