Join us in helping pollinators thrive in the Creston Valley! The Creston Nectar Network Project is a community initiative to create pollinator-friendly habitat by planting native flowers that provide food and shelter for bees, butterflies, and other important pollinators. This spring, participants will receive seven species of native flowering plants for a nominal fee to plant in a one-square-metre pollinator patch. Together, these small patches will help create a connected corridor of habitat stretching from Spectrum Farm toward Schikurski Park.
While this corridor is our initial focus area, the Nectar Network is meant to grow across the valley. Anyone is welcome to participate, no matter where you live. Our long-term vision is to see many small networks of pollinator habitat forming throughout the community, helping create a landscape of connected food sources for pollinators.
🌱 New to native planting? Mentorship is available for anyone who would like guidance getting started.
🐝 Become a Pollinator Pal! Participants will be recognized as part of the project and invited to a Pollinator Picnic, where we’ll gather with guest speakers, native plant experts, and fellow community members to celebrate the growing network of pollinator habitat.
