Join us for a FULL DAY of FUN & fellowship! Bring your scrapbooking, stamping, sewing, knitting, beading, crocheting, cards, sketching, diamond art, or even a good book - whatever feeds your soul! ☃️ Proceeds from the retreat will benefit the AMERICAN FOUNDATION FOR SUICIDE PREVENTION. ♡☆ Saturday, January 17, 9 am - 7 pm.
☆ Carpenters Union Hall in East Peoria.
☆ ALL crafters are welcome! INVITE PALS!
$30 PER PERSON until January 3 ($40 January 4-11, if available.) Ages 13-17 are also welcome with an accompanying adult. Your ticket price includes…
* 6-foot table all to yourself, with a padded chair in a well-lit, temperature-controlled union hall.
* Plenty of bottled water & ice all day.
* Hot Cocoa Bar!
* One free raffle ticket.
*List of all the restaurants in the area. 😉
“Winter Chill” crop means “Low Frills”…
* No valets, provided meals, white elephant sale, door prizes, or paper buffet.
* NO SEATING CHART. Tables will be arranged in pods of 4 and/or 6. You can save seats for your group when you arrive, but you might have to include others to fill it up. :) If you make your own pod of 4 or 6, I will reserve a pod for you. Sewing machines will have priority on the north wall and will be labeled as such.
* Instead of "Door Prize Dance Break", we'll have "Two Tickets to Paradise"! Six times during the day, I'll randomly draw names to win 2 free extra raffle tickets!! You can also earn a free raffle ticket by completing the optional coloring sheet.
Deadline to register is January 11. No refunds for cancellations after then. Payment can be made through PAYPAL at www.PayPal.me/KennaPope. Please use the Friends & Family option, and INCLUDE YOUR EMAIL in the notes. If you would prefer to pay by check, message me for my mailing address, and I'll follow up with registration questions. Refunds will not be given for bad weather, unless the entire event is cancelled or if you live over 2 hours away.
PLEASE BRING:
♡ Your own crafting supplies & gear.
♡ Extension cords for your lamps or equipment. (Each table will have a power strip in the middle.)
♡ Beverages for yourself.
♡ Comfy PJz...? 😊
♡ Snacks or supplies to share. Closer to the event, I'll post a voluntarily sign-up sheet. This avoids duplicate items and helps cover some expenses so that our donation can be larger. 😀 (No crockpots or use of the fridge will be allowed.)
♡ Cash to purchase raffle tickets: $5 for 5 tix, $10 for 15, $25 for 50. Raffle prize values range from $20 to over $100 each!
AND we’re gonna do the Slipper Contest again! 🧦 IF you would like to enter, wear your best / cutest / silliest slippers, we'll take a photo of your feet in them, and stick the photo to a paper bag. Throughout the day, guests can vote with their “spare change”. The winner, based on the most money in the bag, will be announced before we draw raffle prizes (and must still be wearing her slippers ♡) and will win 15 FREE raffle tickets!! 100% donated to the AFSP!
Vendor opportunities are available. If you want to use your table to sell your product or would like to promote your business in other ways, email me for details.
(Alcohol is NOT allowed at this event. My insurance rider doesn't cover that.)
ABOUT THE FUNDRAISER:
To learn more about the AFSP & Out of the Darkness Walks, you can check out last year's donation page at https://supporting.afsp.org/participant/Kenna2025. When I get registered for the 2026 Overnight Walk in January or February, I'll update the link. I have been fundraising for this important organization since 2002. “Crescent Cropportunity” is named in memory of my soul-sister Kristina, who we lost to suicide in 2006, and the crescent moon was our sorority symbol. ♡
