About this Event

Creepy Tales on Campus: Ghost Tour of Richmond’s Historic Grounds

By day, it’s a place of learning. After dark, the stories begin to shift.

This guided walking tour explores a historic Richmond campus, much of it built on what was once Gilded Age Richmond, where grand homes and prominent lives once stood. Many of those buildings still remain, now used as offices and classrooms. The spaces have changed, but what came before still lingers.

Generations of students have reported strange encounters here. Some stories have been passed down for years, while others come from more recent experiences that are harder to explain.

As you walk the campus after dark, your guide will share a blend of history, student lore, and reported paranormal activity, creating an experience that feels both familiar and quietly unsettling.

What to expect:

  • Guided walking tour across a historic Richmond campus
  • Historic buildings still in use as classrooms and offices
  • Student legends, local lore, and reported encounters
  • Outdoor experience—please dress for the weather
  • Sidewalks and campus pathways; comfortable shoes recommended

It may look familiar in the daylight, but after dark, you may start to see it differently.
