About this Event

Take the stress out of buying your first home and get the knowledge you need to move forward with confidence.

Our FREE Pre-Purchase In-Person Homebuyer Education Workshop that meets HUD requirements, facilitated by HUD-Certified Housing Counselors and featuring special keynote speakers, is an 8-hour session in Omaha, NE designed to guide you through every major step of the homebuying journey. The Certificate of Completion meets lender requirements, is valid for one year, and may be used towards various Down Payment Assistance (DPA), grants, and select loan products. This workshop is provided by a multi-state HUD-approved housing counseling agency. During the workshop, participants will gain a clear understanding of the following key topics:

• Homeownership vs. renting and deciding what’s right for you
• Budgeting, saving, and understanding your credit
• Searching for the right home
• Loan options, financial assistance, and mortgage readiness
• How to protect and maintain your biggest investment

You’ll come away with practical strategies, clarity, and the confidence to take your next step toward homeownership.

• Space is limited.
• Registration through Eventbrite is required. Each attendee must register individually.
• Pre-workshop documents must be completed in advance (no exceptions). Instructions will be emailed to you prior to the workshop.
• Full attendance, class participation, and completed paperwork are required to earn a Certificate of Completion.
