Creature Creation Workshop 1

At Riverside House Library on the 27th, 28th and 29th of October, we'll be hosting a creative writing and drawing session, where you'll be able to create your own characters, fit for the spooky season.

You will consider how the characters you create might operate in a game!

Then, on the 31st of October, we'll be displaying all of the works made in the workshops in an exhibition at Riverside House Library Gallery Space!

So, whether you enjoy writing, drawing, playing games, or just want to be creative, join in our workshops on the 27th, 28th and 29th of October!

Workshops:

Monday 27th October – Free workshop for ages 7 – 11

Tuesday 28th October – Free workshop for ages 7 - 11

Wednesday 29th October – Free workshop for ages 12 – 16

For young people aged 7-11, parents and guardians will need to stay in the building.

Workshop sessions will run from 10am to 12pm and are bookable via Eventbrite.

Workshops located at Riverside Library, Main St, Rotherham S60 1AE. Look out for someone in a yellow Children's Capital of Culture t-shirt who will greet you!

On Friday 31st October during the Plug in and Play Festival all work produced during the workshops will be displayed in an exhibition at Riverside Library, gallery space. All children and young people who have taken part in the workshops will be welcomed back to see their work be exhibited.

The exhibition will run from 12pm to 4pm, at Riverside House.

These workshops have been created by young people completing their Gold Arts Award, a nationally recognised level 3 qualification. Workshops will be supported by the Children's Capital of Culture team who are Enhanced DBS checked.
