SPEAKER BIO

Nikki Scoggins, VP of Creative Marketing at Blizzard Entertainment
Nikki Scoggins is a creative advocate for innovation and brand building through great marketing content. She loves nothing more than helping teams bring their ideas to life and sharing that excitement with the fan communities that drive business. With over 20 years of experience on both the agency and client sides, Nikki has worked with brands like Vans, Burton, Taco Bell, Netflix, and Hulu, to name a few. Currently, she is the Vice President of Creative Design and Content for Blizzard Entertainment’s internal creative team, delivering the spectrum of marketing work for iconic global gaming franchises Warcraft, Overwatch, and Diablo, as part of the Xbox Studios family.
Brian Takumi, VP of Brand Soul + Creative at Oakley
Brian Takumi leads Brand Crea0ve and Soul for Oakley. For over 25 years, Brian has directly shaped both the voice and visuals by remaining relentlessly curious in his pursuit of the “why” that drives the brand forward. Over the course of his tenure, Takumi has worked across key disciplines including visual communications, brand, product, and marketing. He began with Oakley in 1997 on the graphics team focusing on brand collateral and marketingng. Since then, he has held roles within the company including Creative Director of Apparel, Footwear, and Accessories, Creative Director of Brand Creative, and Creative Director of Brand and Special Projects. In 2014, he started VOICE (Visual Oakley Internal Creative Engine), Oakley’s internal visual communications agency.

As the brand enters a new dimension, Future Genesis, Takumi is serving in his most influential role to-date. As Brand Soul, Takumi is both the shepherd of the brand’s past and future, holding vision for Oakley’s brand DNA and rigorously applying that to this latest storytelling endeavor, of which he sits at the helm. Future Genesis, he describes, “is our muse to tell the story of the brand.” Through this lens, Takumi has taken a humanistic approach by viewing the brand relative to the emo0onal development of a person, unlocking a new path to exploring and expressing Oakley’s journey.

Takumi was born and raised in Southern California before earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication, and a Minor in Strategic Marketing from California State University - Long Beach. Outside of his work on Oakley, Brain puts his family first and engages in hobbies like cycling and BMX culture, staying true to his Southern California
