The gorgeous Scraggy Moo & Lise Bennett Artist will be hosting a creative workshop to build a beautiful archway installation that will frame the entrance to the hall on the night.
Think PLAYFUL, IMAGINETIVE and made entirely from rescued and recycled materials. Come and help us Make a Marine Eco-system!
You are invited as neighbours, inhabitants, friends and families to create and sculpt a Coral Reef inspired archway for the Ripple Effect Dress Reveal Celebration. Connecting us all to each other and to foster bridging the gap between species, animal human empathy to protect our home, planet earth.
Using a variety of recyclable junk modelling materials, preloved textiles, natural and biodegradable resources we will make a collective piece of eco-art. A meaningful reflection of the marine eco-system, we will paint, glue, sew and shape our experimental ideas to form a 3D, colourful display.
Together we can signal our frequency far and wide like dolphins playing in the ocean! Creating a Culture of Care and Conservation.
We will be using all sorts of wonderful things, including some brilliant rescued materials (even a few fantastic skip dive finds!), plastic bottles, pool noodles and there is even talk of some ducks! These will build big whimsical forms and colourful textures that reflect the creativity of this whole project.
To add an extra touch to the display, we’re also putting a call out for any recycled treasures. If you have any large seashells, driftwood or interesting pebbles you’d be happy to donate or lend, they would be lovely additions.
This workshop is funded by Derbyshire Makes, allowing us to come together and create something special for the final celebration.
Children are very welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
