Creative Voices – SEND Creative Workshops for Children and Young People

Join us for a series of fun, relaxed and creative workshops designed especially for children and young people with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).

These sessions will be led by a local artist and give children the opportunity to get creative while sharing their thoughts, experiences and ideas in a way that feels comfortable and engaging.

We want to hear directly from children and young people about:

• what helps them learn
• what makes them feel included and like they belong
• what they need from services in the future

Their voices will help shape Middlesbrough’s SEND Reform Plan, making this a really important opportunity to influence how support is delivered locally.

What to expect:

• A friendly, welcoming and inclusive environment
• Creative art-based activities
• Supportive staff on hand
• Sessions suitable for a range of ages and needs

Parents and carers:
You are welcome to stay during the session or, where appropriate, leave your child with us.

Each child attending will receive:

• A free goody bag
• An activity voucher
