Creative Tote Bag Workshop: Connected by Creativity

Sparkle, stitch and chat: an afternoon of creativity for everyone.

A warm, relaxed workshop where people of all ages and backgrounds come together to make something beautiful and meet someone new.

This workshop is led by Canan Keskin and supported by Dialogue Society East Midlands.

Each participant will design and decorate her own plain canvas tote bag using rhinestones, pearls, satin ribbon, charms and fabric pens. Add your initial in sparkles, a border of flowers, a butterfly or a favourite word: every bag will be different. There is no formal programme; the conversation happens naturally around the table while we create.

No experience needed. Everything is provided and help is on hand.

Your ticket includes

• A plain canvas tote bag to keep

• All decorations: rhinestones, pearls, charms, satin ribbon

• Fabric glue, fabric pens and shared tools

• Tea, coffee and light refreshments

Good to know: Everyone is welcome, of all ages and backgrounds. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and small decorations can be a choking hazard, so please supervise young children. Refreshments are vegetarian and halal friendly; please tell us about any allergies when booking. Glued decorations need time to set, so you will take your bag home flat and should leave it for 24 hours before use.
