Creative 3rd Space: Photowalk is a free, open-invitation afternoon walk through downtown Greenville for photographers, creatives, and anyone curious about what it feels like to see the world through a lens. We start at Falls Park as the afternoon light is still warm, and we wander from there.
No rigid schedule. No pressure. Just the city, the light, and a community of people who all see something worth capturing.
Who this is for:
If you've been shooting for years and want to connect with other serious photographers -- come through. If you just got your first camera and have no idea what you're doing yet -- that's exactly why you should be here. If you've always wanted photos taken of you but never had the right moment -- this is your moment. Professionals and beginners move together, and somewhere in that mix everybody learns something.
What to bring:
Your camera, your phone, a bottle of water, and an open mind. Leave the large equipment and drones at home -- let's keep it light and ready to move.
What to expect:
A late afternoon start, a loose route through some of downtown Greenville's best pockets of light, and a golden hour finish you'll want to have your camera ready for.

We're goodvillage Co., a creative agency based in Greenville, SC. We work with nonprofits, community organizations, and mission-driven small businesses -- helping them show up with the clarity and creativity their work deserves. Creative Third Space is our event series built around one simple idea: the best creative communities aren't built online. They're built in rooms. And on walks. And in the golden hour light of a fall afternoon in downtown Greenville.
I'm Byron Melvin, photographer and co-founder of goodvillage Co. I've had a camera in my hand longer than I can remember; started as a hobbyist who just couldn't put it down, and eventually turned that into a professional practice using my technical eye and creative instincts to tell stories for nonprofits and small businesses across the Upstate. I'm not here to lecture. I'm here to walk, shoot, and share what I know along the way.
