Learn to create effective sequencing and theme development for exceptional yoga classes, making your teaching more engaging and memorable. Take a single idea or peak pose from conception to communicating words along the same topic, to specific asanas that lead back toward your theme making your classes unforgettable!

Learn techniques for playful or unexpected transitions that drive your theme home. How to build sequencing “would be” movements from the smallest movement that is the easiest, to the most difficult, showing students how to progress from where they are today, to where they want to go. This lab will include:

• Picking and creating a theme, and the phases that work best surrounding that theme.

• How the topic is reflected in movement.

• Mimicking teaching practicum, where each person gets to try out their theme to the class, teaching poses and adding music that compliments that theme, and then teaching a short sequence using workshop tools and take-home tools templates.

This 3-hour workshop can be turned in for Continuing Educational Credits through Yoga Alliance with Janet.
