Join us for our next Creative Open Day at Focal Point Gallery, delivered in partnership with The Other MA, for a special Scratch Night taking place from 11am to 3pm in our gallery.
Hosted by Kim Davey and Geegee, in the intimate setting of Gallery 2, this is a space to experiment, connect and expect the unexpected. We aren't looking for polished, finished performances; instead, we're inviting artists to test ideas, share works in progress, and try out new material in front of a supportive audience.
Whether you'd like to step into the spotlight or simply enjoy an afternoon of exciting new work, whether you are 5 or 95, everyone is welcome. Come along to perform, support local artists, or discover the incredible creative talent from across Southend-on-Sea, alongside the City Jam festival that will be right on our doorstep!
Expect an ever-changing programme featuring everything from poetry, spoken word and live music to improvisation, theatre, film and more. Each performance is limited to a maximum of 10 minutes, creating a fast-paced, varied programme where there's always something new to experience.
Whether you're performing or watching, we'd love you to be part of an afternoon celebrating creativity, collaboration and new ideas.
