Creative Mentoring Sessions: Unleash Your Inner Artist

Dare to dream, challenge your imagination, and discover your true potential!

Are you passionate about creating art but struggle to recognize your unique, authentic creative voice? Do you seek more confidence, focus, and creative freedom? Is your dream to turn your energy and skill into a full-time occupation? Do you need guidance to help show you the way?

Art is based on dreams, and as an artist myself, I’ve walked the same path as you—balancing my dreams with the realities of everyday life and overcoming significant challenges, including homelessness, poverty, violence, and bullying. Despite these obstacles, I have persevered, following my dreams. I founded my own gallery, I have become a full time artist, I am helping new artists gain much-needed attention and I am bringing exciting art to the heart of the community. My journey proves that no challenge is too big to overcome.

As a mentor, I am committed to helping other artists navigate this challenging path. I offer straightforward, non-judgmental guidance, sharing my thoughts, fears, and ambitions with you. In return, I provide honest, experienced feedback, support, and advice based on my own journey, helping you communicate your unique perspective to the widest possible audience.

Mentoring Sessions

My Approach to Artist Mentoring

Being an artist can be lonely, but you don’t have to tackle it alone. My training and experience as both a successful artist and gallery owner allow me to see your work from all angles and offer my knowledge to help you become the best artist you can be. Whether you have an extensive portfolio or not, reviewing your existing work can help develop it further—whether by exploring alternative mediums, clarifying composition, creating collections, discussing materials, or relating your work to the broader art industry. My strength lies in identifying true potential and helping you find clarity in your life and career path.

I offer bespoke 1-to-1 mentoring and support sessions tailored to your specific needs, or you can take part in my more accessible group coaching program.

Group Coaching Programme

This program is ideal for creative individuals, artists, and introverts. Join us to showcase your artwork, receive constructive feedback from peers, and engage in discussions with multi-award winner Laura Iosifescu. The event will take place in September, once a week for a month, contingent on at least 10 participants. About Laura

Laura Iosifescu is the gallery director of the multi-award-winning Laura I. Art Gallery, inaugurated in 2016 by Mayor of London Sadiq Khan and Daren Rodwell, the leader of Barking and Dagenham. As a professional artist, mentor, and consultant, Laura has displayed her work globally, with 60% of her pieces held in private collections. In 2014, she created the first dress made entirely from paint, exhibited at the British Museum, Saatchi Gallery, and the Winter Pride Awards, receiving recognition as revolutionary by the art industry and press.

Since opening her gallery, Laura has curated major events, including "Now That’s What I Call Art," "I Am a Woman and This is My Legacy," and "Codes of Faith," providing new artists their first major exhibition experience and sponsorship opportunities. She also launched the popular community project "Noah's Ark," which continues to grow. Laura has been invited to speak at creative development events, nominated for several major business accolades, and won numerous awards, including ‘Community Business of the Year’ at the FSB Awards London 2018 and the Leadership in Arts and Culture Award at the Women Empowerment Awards 2018. She has also received the Innovation and Diversification in the Use of Digital Media award from the Barking and Dagenham Chamber of Commerce in 2022 and the Diversity Award from the UEL Alumni Achievements Award in 2019.

Laura also advises local companies on using art to enhance their spaces, helping new talent gain exposure.
