About this Event

Creative Health in Care Settings

Working in collaboration with Debbie Crouch @ Art for Wellness, the ASC Public Health team at Barnsley Council have created a workshop for Activity Coordinators in care settings designed to enhance mental health and wellbeing of older adults through therapeutic art therapy.

Activity Coordinators will learn practical skills in therapeutic mixed media art to engage older adults, especially those with sensory impairments or cognitive challenges. The session will provide you with the tools to promote emotional expression and cognitive stimulation through creative activities.

Lunch will be provided and a free resource package will be given at the end of the session which will contain the materials needed to immediately start delivering creative and therapeutic art sessions.
