Creative Grief Workshop in Boulder | Seed Pod Floral Art Experience

Grief and joy are deeply connected. When we make space for grief to be seen and expressed, our capacity for meaning, connection, and even quiet joy can expand alongside it.

This intimate creative grief workshop in Boulder invites participants to honor loss through beauty, art, and natural materials.

In this hands-on, contemplative floral experience, each participant begins with an actual seed pod—a natural vessel shaped by time and growth.

Guided by artist Stefany Lys, you will select from a thoughtfully gathered collection of botanicals, textures, mosses, dried flowers, and found elements chosen for their beauty and resonance. Participants are encouraged to trust what draws them in, allowing intuition and feeling to guide the process.

You are welcome to bring one small natural or meaningful element to incorporate, if desired.

Using these materials, each person will create a Grief Vessel—a small, personal seed pod arrangement made slowly and with intention. You will leave with your own completed vessel: a meaningful handmade offering that holds memory, love, and the quiet presence of grief.

This workshop is not about floral perfection or technique. It is about creative expression for grief, memorial art and personal reflection, working with natural materials, making something meaningful with your hands, and gathering in supportive community.

By creating beauty together, we make space for grief—and for joy—to exist side by side.

Hosted by Janene Centurione and The Natural Funeral in collaboration with Sturtz and Copeland Florist.

Cost: Estimated $50–$75

Pricing is based on the natural materials selected. Participants will pay Sturtz and Copeland at the conclusion of the workshop, based on the elements used.

No floral experience necessary.

Space will be limited to maintain an intimate setting.
