Creative Cuppa Special (DIASPORA! Festival)

Creative Cuppa is a regular group here at KWMC. We meet on Wednesdays for creative making and friendly chats over free lunch and hot drinks.

For DIASPORA! Festival, our new artist in residence Emmanuella Blake Morsi will be running a relaxed, light-touch session around the theme of ‘welcome’. Our Making Space will be open too, filled with digital fabrication kit.

This workshop is for all ages and skill levels.

Whether you’re an experienced maker or a curious newcomer, you're completely welcome here. We particularly welcome people who are underrepresented in creative spaces. This includes people who identify as working-class, from global majority backgrounds (African, Asian, Indigenous, Latin American, or mixed-heritage), LGBTQIA+, D/deaf, visually impaired, disabled and/or neurodivergent.

This workshop is part of DIASPORA! Festival run by Diverse Artist Network. It runs betewen 1–10 May and celebrates the cultural diversity of Bristol and the South West region. Working closely with community groups, artists, partners and venues, the DIASPORA! Festival aims to act as a unified stage for local, underrepresented talent. More info here.
